What Elbow Conditions Can London Stem Cell Centre Help Treat?

Your elbow is a hinge joint connecting your upper arm bone (humerus) to your forearm bones (radius and ulna). The bones are coated in a layer of slippery cartilage, and the joint is supported and mobilised by a system of tendons, muscles and ligaments. Nerves run through and around the outside elbow joint, and several other soft tissues help with smooth movement and cushioning.

Any of these structures can get damaged through wear and tear, an impact or a wrenching injury.

At London Stem Cell Centre, we offer a range of cellular treatments using your own body’s healing capabilities to help stimulate repair, reduce elbow pain and improve mobility. Contact us here to find out more.

Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis )

This is chronic, painful inflammation of the tendons on the outside of your elbow. It is usually caused by overuse, particularly in racquet sports such as tennis, but it can affect anyone who does a lot of overhead activities or weightlifters.

Treatment: if you have ongoing symptoms after rest and physiotherapy, our team offers steroid injections to reduce inflammation and improve mobility. Our cellular therapy includes using the healing properties from your blood plasma (PRP) and potentially BMAC to improve recovery and reduce the pain of tennis elbow.

Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis)

Golfer’s elbow is the chronic inflammation of the tendons attached to the inside of your elbow. The painful condition is caused by overuse or repetitive strain of the tendons – often as a result of throwing or lifting sports.

Treatment: rest and physiotherapy are usually effective treatments. For ongoing or repeated problems, you may benefit from steroid injections to reduce inflammation and improve mobility. The cellular therapy on offer at London Stem Cell Centre includes PRP injections to help reduce the pain of tennis elbow.

Nerve Entrapment (cubital tunnel syndrome)

Trapped nerves in your elbow can be the result of a number of structural issues – often due to the bone degeneration in arthritis, but it can also be cause by thickening or inflammation of other tissues in your elbow. We provide an expert diagnosis of your condition and offer the least invasive, most effective treatment for your condition.

Treatment: using your body’s own healing and anti-inflammatory properties, our injection therapies target the problems causing your nerve entrapment, reducing pain and improving mobility.
